The Power of Resolutions and 2 Fun Alternatives to Try at Home
Full Moon January 2025
Welcome to the new year.
I truly hope you had a magical and peaceful Christmas and New Years and are ready to start the new year with new found energy.
It is a great idea to pause and reflect on your life, your dreams and goals and this seems to come naturally to us at the start of a new year. If we don’t pause and think about where we want to go with our life, what we want to achieve, to experience, to feel and to learn, then we might never get there after all.
So my invitation to you is to just pause and reflect on your current life situation.
How happy are you?
Is there anything you would like to see changed? For your health, your wealth, your career, your happiness, relationships etc?
Is there anything you are calling into your life?
Write these things down (by hand) and if you feel like it, then create a visionboard for yourself to remind yourself of your intentions regularly. This is my favorite alternative to writing new years resolutions.
If you have never done a visionboard before don't panic, you don’t need to be artsy to do this, just get a big piece of paper, a few old magazines and some paint and pens and start drawing, glueing cuttings (pictures, phrases, words) that are speaking to your intentions from the magazines and let your visions take you to create your board. It is important to put your visionboard in visibility - somewhere in your house, or as a locked screen saver wherever you will see this multiple times a day to remind you of your vision and let you manifest this even more.
The other alternative is to set a theme for the new year.
This is a little more intense, but overall easier to achieve than New Years resolutions as they are often too big a goal.
What could be a necessary theme for your life this year?
Maybe it is to concentrate on your stress levels (don’t forget to pre-register for our next retreat) or to look after your physical health. You know best what to choose for yourself.
Let this theme guide you in your activities, the books you read, the podcasts you listen to, people you surround yourself with and so on.
If you do want to have a crack at New Year’s resolutions, by all means go for it, and if you need someone to help you achieve your goals don’t hesitate to contact me for an appointment.
